CHRISTOPHER LIDDELL abt 1761: Innkeeper of Market place at time of children's baptisms at St Nicholas.

Wife ELIZABETH HESLOP: On most of the children's baptism entries she is mentioned as formerly being a Heslop and twice a native of Fishburn.  Says 96 yrs on death cert, widow of Christopher Liddell, Innkeeper. Died of old age, no medical attendant. Informant S AFleetham, present at death, Northgate St., Hartlepool. Death registered 28th May.

CHRISTOPHER LIDDELL 1842: 1851 - Cor, 9 yrs, with parents.  1861 - 18 yrs, coalminer, with family.  

ELEANOR LIDDELL 1811:  1851 - 40 yrs, with husband and 5 children. 

ELIZABETH ANN abt 1862: 1871 - 10 yrs, with family.   1881 - 19 yrs, with parents and husband.

Husband WILLIAM SHARP abt 1858: 1881 - 23 yrs, coalminer, in household (along with wife) of father-in-law  in Pelton.

JOHN BRENKLEY abt 1840:  1851 - 11 yrs named Liddell, living with mother, stepfather and half  brother and sister.  1861 - 21, coalminer, named Liddell, with family.  1881 - 43 yrs, widower, coalminer, living with stepfather's family and his own two children.  1891 - 51 yrs, miner living with stepfather's family under the Liddell name.

MARY ROSANNA LIDDELL 1841:  1851 - 9 yrs, with family.

ROBERT LIDDELL 1846:  1851 - 4 yrs, with parents.  1861 - 14 yrs, coalminer, living with parents. 

ROBERT LIDDELL 1870:  1881 - 1 yr, with family.

SARAH LIDDLE abt 1843: 1851 - 8 yrs, living with widowed father.

SARAH LIDDELL abt 1849:  1851 - 2 yrs, with parents.  1861 - 11 yrs, with parents.

THOMAS LIDDELL abt 1818: 1851 - 35 yrs, shoemaker, dwelling Framwellgate with wife and 4 children (oldest John presumeably a Brenkley).  1861 - 42 yrs, coalminer, dwelling St. Giles Durham, with wife and 5 children (the oldest being Sarah's).  1871 - 58 yrs, Coalminer, dwelling 28 George St., West Pelton, with new wife and 5 offspring.   1881 - 62 yrs, coalminer, dwelling 3 Grange Villa, with wife, 4 children and a son-in-law, a stepson and his two kids, and 2 granchildren.  1891 - 78 yrs, dwelling 16 3rd BrickRow, Pelton Fell, with wife, widowed stepson, 2 grandchildren (Robert 22 yrs, b. St Giles Durham, miner & Sarah Wears 10 b. Low Fell, Durham), 1 servant and 5 lodgers. 

Wife SARAH BRENKLEY abt 1820: 1851 - 31 yrs.  1861 - 45 yrs.

Wife CATHERINE WHITE:  Spelt Catharine in FreeBMD.  1871 - 30 yrs.  1881 - 42 yrs.  1891 53 yrs.   1901 - 63 yrs, seamstress (shirt), working on own account, dwelling 8 Foundry Lane with grandaughter Margaret Ellen Wears.

THOMAS LIDDELL 1850:  1851 - 7 mths, with family.

THOMAS LIDDELL 1866:  1871 - 4 yrs, with family.  1881 - 14 yrs, coalminer, with family.

WILLIAM LIDDELL 1844:  Presumeable died before 1851 census.

WILLIAM LIDDLE abt 1845: 1851 - 6 yrs, living with widowed father.

WILLIAM LIDDELL 1863:   1871 - 7 yrs, with family.  1881 - 17 yrs, coalminer, with family.
